ABOUT HEATHER GREENHALGH

I create, develop and head up world-class service operations. My experience has been in demanding, fast-paced environments, latterly under Private Equity Ownership, in Global FinTech / Cloud Technology. Throughout my career, I have been in a problem-solving capacity, and relish the opportunity to lead transformation of pre-sales engineering and operations functions. I have a strong understanding of commercial drivers, and am able to see the big picture of what can be achieved, whilst getting to grips with some of the detail that can pose obstacles. My current focus is on a function that needs to be operationally responsive, and I’m able to balance these needs with longer-term strategic thinking about how to keep competitive advantage in a rapidly changing sector. I’m hugely energetic, thoroughly enjoy working as part of a team, and have lived and worked in the UK and USA, with extensive travel to other global destinations including Japan/Sydney. I believe that people really want to do a good job, and I’ve been able to turn around results of de-motivated, underperforming teams by providing support, direction and an open mind. I work at a senior level and can engage and influence because I deliver and am credible. I believe in treating everyone, at each level inside and outside an organisation, with courtesy and respect, and really listening to people gives the best insights into what the problems are, and - often - how to fix them. I will challenge and raise issues when necessary, but am naturally collaborative and want to help diffuse situations so that resolution can be achieved. I recently completed a Non-Executive Director programme run by the FT which has helped to consolidate my knowledge of issues such as Board governance and effectiveness, strategic thinking and roles of various committees.
