ABOUT HEATHER GRANDY

I\'m an Industrial Engineer with deep experience working at the intersection of cloud technology, data strategy, and customer success. At Microsoft, I advise Canadian federal government departments and Atlantic Canadian enterprises on how to leverage Microsoft\'s Data and AI capabilities to modernize analytics, implement robust data governance, and adopt AI responsibly, always with a focus on long-term business outcomes and ethical use. Prior to this, I held technical customer-facing roles at Microsoft and led customer success initiatives at a medical imaging startup developing AI-powered tools for improving mammography processes. I recently completed a master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Ottawa, where my research focused on using a data-driven approach for sports performance analysis. Outside of work, I coach horizontal jumps with the Ottawa Lions Track and Field Club and am passionate about helping athletes both achieve their goals and develop transferable skills, allowing them to excel in other areas of their lives. I’ve also previously taught Azure and Python courses as an Adjunct Instructor at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and provided freelance content development and custom workshops on Azure Data & AI topics.
