ABOUT HEATHER GOSACK
I am a licensed geologist in Oregon, Washington, and Pennsylvania with 18 years of experience in environmental consulting. I specialize in site and remedial investigation, due diligence and risk management, program/project management, and technical assistance for a wide variety of public and private clients. I have substantial experience with per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) environmental investigations, compliance, and technical support. I have managed numerous projects in over 30 states requiring site and remedial investigation for contaminants in soil, groundwater, soil vapor, sediment, surface water, stormwater, indoor air, construction materials, and wastes. My projects have also included remedial action, human health and ecological risk assessments, feasibility studies, contaminant fate and transport evaluation and modeling, geologic and groundwater modeling, corrective action plans, construction/remediation cost estimates, environmental compliance, and statistical analysis. I have extensive experience conducting Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments for diverse types of sites, including municipal properties, industrial and commercial facilities, agricultural properties, timberland property packages, and oil and gas pipelines, well pads, and tank batteries. I also have experience managing brownfields projects under grant funding in Oregon and Washington. I have assisted clients in obtaining regulatory closure in multiple states and have prepared hundreds of environmental reports for submittal to local, state, and federal agencies. I also participate in the Interstate Technology Regulatory Council (ITRC) PFAS team and serve as a board member for the Portland chapter of Women in Environment (WIE).
