About Heather Bennett

As a leader at Prisma Health, I manage and oversee the daily operations of two complex specialties with my team of 20 providers and nearly 40 team members. Annually, these specialties see more than patient visits across inpatient, ambulatory, and surgical outpatient settings. I am passionate about improving the quality and efficiency of health care delivery, as well as advocating for the needs and interests of patients and staff. With over 13 years of leadership experience, I have successfully implemented multiple initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, access to care, and patient satisfaction, while reducing costs and enhancing staff engagement and retention.Twenty-five years of progressive experience has not only created a foundation of knowledge and skills, but it has also afforded me an appreciation of the problems and potentials in health care and provided me with opportunities to develop solutions. I have a strong background in health care leadership, change management, problem solving, and advocacy, which I use to influence and drive innovation, collaboration, and excellence in the delivery of care. I hold a Master of Business Administration degree from Southern Wesleyan University, with a dual undergraduate degree in business administration and human services, with an additional concentration in human resource management. My goal is to leverage my expertise and education to advance my career as health care leader and change seeker, and to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of the patients and communities I serve.
