Get Out and Play/ACTiV8 Program Director at the Youth Sports Alliance Park City. Introducing sports and lifestyle activities to school children, 1st through 9th grade at an affordable price. This non-profit organization helps approximately 1600 students take part in activities throughout the local area. Current offerings include a coalition of approximately 66 private, nonprofits, public and educational organizations. In the 5 years I have been Director of programming the number of students who have participated inner programs have increased by 97%. Programs offering ideas at the ACTiV8 level are conducted through student focus groups. Students participate in Winter Sports ranging from Alpine Skiing/Snowboarding, luge, figure skating, speed skating, hockey, nordic jumping, freestyle, curling and skeleton. Summer sports include bouldering, triathlon, mountain biking, rowing and skateboarding. At the ACTiV8 level students are offered lifestyle activities such as cooking and the arts. Students are bussed to many of the activities and we work and train over 100 volunteers to help this program succeed. During any week in January we have over 700 students participating in sports and activities all over the county.
