About Heather Fell

My career has been an intriguing combination of corporate roles and time spent focused on self-discovery and healing / supportive work with others. After 5 years in healthcare consulting post-MBA, I took my first unexpected turn: leaving the corporate world to study and become a practitioner of massage therapy and hypnotherapy. Four years later, I was a very different person: more connected with my body, more comfortable with my self and more able to connect with others. I returned to the corporate world and spent another 18 years focusing on the healthcare industry: 6 years with Blue Shield of California, and then nearly 12 years serving a wide variety of healthcare and life sciences organizations as a consultant with Point B. I capped off my consulting career as an account executive driving impressive revenue growth and delivery quality, building my account to one of the largest in my company. In April 2024, I left the corporate world for a second time with two aims in mind. First, I am replenishing myself through time immersed in nature, moving my body, and connecting with people I love. I believe that \"the work begins within\", so I am showing up for myself first so that I can maximize my impact in the world.Second, I am launching a new business which applies a combination of Wayfinder Life Coach Training (Martha Beck Institute) and my previous experience in healing modalities to help my coaching clients connect with their own innate wisdom. I look forward to experimenting with a variety of 1-on-1, small group and retreat-based options to discover what resonates most for me and my clients.I created Know YES Coaching to help you connect with Your Embodied Self. My ideal clients are experienced women who are going through - or yearning for - major life transitions. If you are interested in learning more, please reach out to me!

Experience

  1. Director of Strategic Projects

    Women's Cancer Resource Center

Jan 2026 — Present · Berkeley, CA, US

Stepping into the interim role of Director of Strategic Projects at WCRC has been a beautiful convergence of my corporate‑honed strategy, systems, and project leadership skills with the mission‑driven, heart‑centered work I care deeply about. WCRC is in an exciting period of growth and transformation, advancing major initiatives like a multi‑year Strategic Roadmap, updates to the Navigation program structure, a technology replatforming effort, and expanded cross‑functional collaboration. In this role, I am cultivating the systems, clarity, and project management capacity needed to support these initiatives while ensuring alignment with WCRC’s mission, values, and equity commitments. It’s meaningful work that lets me bring forward everything I learned in high‑intensity corporate settings (structured thinking, organizational design, scalable processes, and compassionate leadership) while contributing to a community-centered organization doing truly impactful work. This role also aligns beautifully with the life I’m building now: one where I support women in navigating their own midlife metamorphosis through my coaching practice, Know YES Coaching. My professional journey and my personal calling have finally converged: strategic impact on one side, deep human transformation on the other. It feels like exactly where I’m meant to be.
