ABOUT HEATHER JOHNSON
I have been working in the non-profit sector since moving in to the sector after 11 years with Enbridge Gas (Toronto). In my current role as the Director of Volunteer Halton, I have the opportunity to support the capacity-building needs of the nonprofit and voluntary sectors with proven volunteer and employee engagement, communication, fundraising and event coordination skills and experiences. A champion of the profession, I am a recipient of the King Charles Coronation Award in recognition of my contributions to the volunteer engagement profession in Canada. An active member of the Professional Association of Volunteer Leaders-Ontario (PAVRO), she is the 2022 recipient of the President\'s Award. Specialties: Volunteer and employee engagement; engaging public speaker; fundraising with a focus proposal and grant writing; marketing and social media; special events coordination; governance and development and implementation of policies and procedures.
