About Heather Carrasco
According to statistics, I am an outlier. I am an outlier because, based on my demographics, I should not have 1) Received a master’s degree 2) Obtained leadership and management roles. Outliers exist beyond the norm, and organizations need outliers to challenge the “we’ve always done it this way” mindset. I consistently demonstrate that I am an outlier because I am not afraid to accept challenges and confront barriers. My background includes experience in HR, research and data analytics, and employee relations. Early in my career, I realized that I have a niche to going above and beyond. As such, I quickly advance in each position that I held. I have over five years of leadership and management experience, and my leadership approach is transformational. Additionally, I specialize in client relations as I have obtained over six years of client relations experience and maintain many relationships with previous clientele. My experience as a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and my Master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology provides me with the foundation to understand the needs of employees and the demands of organizations. For instance, my thesis examined the role of fit on job satisfaction and turnover intentions among early childhood educators. To that end, I discovered intrinsic motivation can lead to positive career outcomes as long as perceptions of organizational justice are not violated.
