Verizon Lean Six Sigma (VLSS) Black Belt for the IT Global Technology Services organization excelling at identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities resulting in optimized processes and cost reductions. • Successfully drove a critical Standard Operating Environment (SOE) Black Belt project to Realization with hard savings of $1.26M in the first 6 months – more than double the original estimates savings; final savings are projected to be $2.52M. o By applying the project improvements to two related SOE projects, there is combined projected hard savings of $7.93M. o Specific improvements include- Driving cross-functional team representatives from 8 CIO towers (Wireless and Wireline) from 12 software fulfillment and exception processes to 2- Implementation of a new standards portal for a greatly improved user experience- Re-design of architecture review to reduce the number of exception requests and queue times; and - Establishment of a process to remove software from the SOE. • Currently leading a VLSS Design project to establish core metrics and metric drivers for DevOps, and then relate those improvements to tangible Business benefits. o Conducted 30 focus groups and interviews to gather data about what’s important to customers in various domestic and international Business units (IT, Business, development, test, finance, architecture, operations). o Led a cross-functional team to identify 3 Pilot metrics as optimal DevOps success indicators: Velocity, Quality, and MTTR. o Established cross-CIO Pilot to gather application-level metrics. Once the Pilot output has been regression model evaluated, metrics with a positive return on investment will be extended to all DevOps applications to drive enhanced Business value.
