About Heather Saunders

I am currently working as a Senior SW Engineering Manager with IBM Quantum, overseeing multiple teams of backend developers working on code to help users effectively and efficiently run workloads on IBM\'s quantum computers through the cloud.Outside of my day job, I participate in a variety of volunteer positions and opportunities, such as my current role as President of the IBM Toastmasters club, volunteering for The Raleigh Ringers handbell choir as a fundraising organizer, and working as a site lead at IBM RTP for the past three years, coordinating hundreds of interns across all intern programs at IBM RTP. Some recent accomplishments/positions include- President of the IBM Toastmasters club in RTP- Intern Program Manager for over 100 IBM Quantum interns in 2021- Site leader for 2020 interns in RTP- Focal point for open source legal clearance and deliverables for WebSphere organization-\"Best Newcomer\"(as a project manager) award recipient through a peer nominated process in the WebSphere organization- Test lead for WebSphere as a Service offering- Professional Development Committee lead for the IBM RTP New Hire Network- IBM Master Inventor
