Science educator with over twenty-five years of experience as a teacher and school leader in the New York City public schools. Strong educational professional with a PhD in Teaching & Learning focused on Science Education from New York University. Research interests include gender studies, science education, equity, and access. Background includes curriculum development, teacher evaluation, remote instruction design and pedagogy, developing and facilitating professional learning (secondary science and math education, culturally responsive sustaining education, Advanced Literacies, remote instruction, Grading for Equity, international learning, and school leadership), and teaching secondary students in general education, special education, English as a New Language, honors, New York State Regents, Advanced Placement, and IB Diploma Programme. Serve as educational leader and chief administrator at The Baccalaureate School for Global Education (7-12 world IB school) to support a middle school and high school educational program that is comprehensive, challenging, and inclusive for all students that meets and exceeds NYSED commencement level learning standards and International Baccalaureate program standards and practices for IB World Schools and aligned with the CRSE framework. During the 20••••23 academic year, 100% of the 89 seniors graduated and attended either four-year (91%) colleges/universities or two-year (9%) colleges. For the class of 2023, 88% of the 73 students registered as full IB Diploma Program candidates received the IB Diploma.
