   From 2001 to present, I have been working in the mass spectrometry group in the Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory (EMSL) at PNNL. I perform sample preparation for proteomics, metabolomics and lipidomics analysis on MS instrumentation. Experienced with analytical HPLC and some LC-MS, GC-MS, ICP-MS. Working in collaboration with many users that utilize our facility for their research has also been a large part of my duties here. Mainly perform sample management and sample preparation for multi-omics analysis of large sets of samples as well as extremely diverse sample types. Often develop prep methods for new sample types or differing analysis types to correct for matrix effects (environmental samples) or for different analysis applications (e.g. intact protein analysis). Additionally, mentoring multiple interns (High School through Post-Masters) in our lab is a privilege that I get to add to my resume.From 1993 to 2001 I worked in the Inhalation Toxicology group preparing samples and running instrumentation for toxicological studies. Sample preparation was for small molecule compounds in various tissue/bodily fluid matrices, metals and radio-labeled ADME studies. Instrumentation used includes HPLC, GC, GC/MS, LC/MS, ICP-MS and a Scintillation counter. This was a GLP facility as well.
