I am in charge of planning, organizing, and scheduling the 40-hour CIT week for law enforcement and first responder agencies to attend. The 40-hour week is held twice a year (e.g, one in the Spring season and one in the Fall season). The full week of presentations must be approved by The Tennessee Peace Officers Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) Commission. I am also responsible for hosting committee meetings throughout the planning process and I attend the Statewide CIT Task Force meeting accordingly.

ABOUT HEATHER NOULIS

As a graduate from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, with a Master\'s degree in Forensic Mental Health Counseling, I aspire to be a positive contribution to the criminal justice and mental health field. With my temporary LPC-MHSP license, I am pursuing full licensure while working diligently under a Tennessee Board Certified Supervisor. I am open to new experiences and broadening my horizons through all aspects of the field. My dedication, motivation, and ambition triumphs within my characteristics and I hope to showcase my need for responsibility; all while giving back to the community through my career choice. Working collaboratively with other key players in the field is something I value in the workforce, making the sky the limit for change to occur. By bridging the gap between law enforcement and mental health services, delivering crisis trainings, and providing leadership to others, I hope to make a difference at a macro level. Providing empathy and compassion to those in crisis, in their most vulnerable state, leaves me with a sense of fulfillment and intention!
