About Heather McDevitt
Heather McDevitt leads White & Case, a global law firm that advises multinational clients on complex cross-border needs. In her role as Chair, Heather directs the firm’s strategy and operations for more than 2,500 lawyers in 30 countries, helping clients seize opportunities, navigate complexities and achieve exceptional outcomes. Heather spent more than 20 years as a litigation partner in White & Case’s New York office and held several management roles before being elected Chair. This included serving on the firm’s Executive Committee and leading its Global Life Sciences and Healthcare Industry Group. Heather is a longtime pro bono advocate and a two-time recipient of the New York City Bar’s Thurgood Marshall Award for her post-conviction and capital defense work. In 2019, Heather led the White & Case team that secured a $27 million jury award in Massachusetts, on behalf of a pro bono client who was exonerated after spending 27 years in prison.
