Explore Washington Park helps people access one of Portland\'s most beloved city parks. At over 410 acres, Washington Park is one of Portland\'s largest and oldest city parks and is home to 6 major attractions and 15 miles of trails. Every year, over three million people come to the park to visit the Oregon Zoo, Portland Children\'s Museum, World Forestry Center, Hoyt Arboretum, Portland Japanese Garden, International Rose Test Garden, tennis courts, picnic shelters, archery ranges, soccer fields, playgrounds and more. We help them explore it all. Explore Washington park provides the following services-A free park shuttle that operates from May to October-Overlow parking shuttles and traffic flagging services-Park maps and information-Field customer service staff from June-August-Transportation and parking information Explore Washington Park is entirely funded by Washington Park parking meters funds through a partnership with Portland Parks & Recreation.

ABOUT HEATHER MCCAREY
After receiving my master\'s degree in City and Regional Planning from Georgia Tech, I moved to Portland, Oregon where I have been working with Transportation Management Associations in urban, suburban, and park settings. I currently serve as Executive Director of Explore Washington Park, one of the first Transportation Management Associations in the nation created to address transportation issues both to and throughout a city park. Washington Park is home to venues such as the Oregon Zoo, Portland Children\'s Museum, World Forestry Center, Hoyt Arboretum, Portland Japanese Garden, and the International Rose Test Garden. The park receives over visitors annually. I bring an expertise in non-profit management, as well as transportation demand management services, to this role.
