Dr. Hecht works to create an atmosphere that is free of judgement for personal growth and healing. She is devoted to providing the highest standard of care for the people she serves. Dr. Hecht is specialized in treating adults, as well as children and adolescents. She also specializes in the treatment of couples, and is a Certified Level One Gottman Couples Therapist. Dr. Hecht is committed to helping adults regain their well-being, to allowing children to improve behavior and reconnect with their joy, and to assisting couples in increasing intimacy and friendship. Dr. Hecht has a special area of interest in eating disorder recovery. Dr. Hecht holds a weekly eating disorder recovery group for recovery-minded individuals. Dr. Hecht welcomes new members, and would be happy to set up a screening appointment to see if this group is right for you or your loved one. Dr. Hecht brings an evidence based, integrated approach to the treatment of a range of concerns, including anxiety-related disorders, depression, PTSD, trauma, disordered eating, self-esteem issues, boundary setting, infidelity, interpersonal conflict, and improvement in communication patterns. When treating children, Dr. Hecht uses play therapy techniques, as well as bibliotherapy, behavioral therapy, and family therapy to address the child\'s holistic needs. She sees clients in the individual, family, and group formats, depending on what best suits your needs. Dr. Hecht provides a collaborative, accepting atmosphere designed to promote growth, healing, and well-being.
