ABOUT HEATHER LAGARDE
Heather LaGarde is a Founder and Co-Owner of the Haw River Ballroom. She is the Senior Strategic Partnerships Advisor for IntraHealth International. She launched and is the Producer of the SwitchPoint Global Conference on humanitarian innovation, technology for good and global health and oversees the SwitchPoint Future League. Previously she worked for War Child and Human Rights Watch. On a local level she is a co-owner of Cup 22 Coffeehouse. She runs the annual summer-long outdoor music series and farmers\' market \"Saturdays in Saxapahaw\" and is on the boards of Culture Mill, Paperhand Puppet Intervention, and the SRCA. Born in Chapel Hill, she has lived in New York, London, Geneva and West Africa and now resides with her family on an old dairy farm in Saxapahaw, NC.
