ABOUT HEATHER KING
I have been a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner since 2020 and a graduate of EKU. I found my passion for psychiatry in nursing school, I then started my nursing career in 2016 as a psychiatric RN. I was also able to gain experience as a Neurology RN which helped deepen my understanding of the mind/brain/body connection. I enjoy seeing adults and children and continuing to learn more about integrating alternative treatments into mental healthcare. I believe that an important part of practice is establishing a good relationship and compromising by discussing all options and deciding together.In my personal life, I am a wife and a mother of 3. We like to spend our weekends outdoors, finding new activities as a family and attending church. We are always striving for growth personally, in our faith and as a family.
