ABOUT HEATHER I GARLAND
Heather Garland is a postdoctoral RA at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. She has skills in offline analysis software development and silicon detector implementation. As the previous software lead for her collaboration, she wrote an original gamma-ray add-back routine for the electronically segmented HPGe detector array GRETINA. She codes primarily in C++ and Python, but has experience in languages like Lua, Matlab, R, etc. Heather Garland has characterized both resistive and non-resistive silicon strip detectors and written extensive calibration code for these detectors. She holds a PhD in physics, specializing in nuclear astrophysics, from Rutgers University.
