Ms. Hill has managed a portfolio of well over 100 protocols. She leads multiple project teams, supervises several project managers, and mentored several junior staff members in the data management group. She applies her research experience and technical writing skills to participate in protocol development and to produce materials to support the conduct of the trials, including clinical study reports, manuals of procedures, and other documents. Ms. Hill serves as a communications link between the clinical sites and the study sponsor to address a range of issues for the sites to properly conduct the trial, excelling at effective problem-solving to keep projects on track. These activities are performed for high-profile, fast-paced protocols, such as those for seasonal and pandemic Influenza vaccines and vaccines developed for the nation’s biodefense stockpile. Since Ms. Hill joined Emmes in 2002, she has led the implementation of a range of clinical trials for biodefense agents and pandemic preparedness, including vaccines against influenza, smallpox, tularemia and anthrax, as well as monoclonal antibodies to botulism. Ms. Hill’s experience includes pre-clinical and clinical trials, the former including the preparation of data for FDA submission under the animal rule. Ms. Hill supports the CRID contract as the primary party responsible for the submission of study results to clinicaltrials.gov, submitting results for approximately 40 protocols to date. Ms. Hill\'s previous experience in blood research at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research established a strong foundation for leading clinical research at Emmes. As a supervisor, Ms. Hill planned and directed work assignments for technicians in the research and development of improved blood storage techniques, including clinical trials which supported the FDA licensing of Biologics and Medical Devices. She contributed to all aspects of clinical trials and in vitro studies, particularly from a laboratory standpoint.
