About Heather Goetz
Seeking a full time position in an engineering or technical field in order to achieve an integrated goal for safety and advancement of technical projects utilizing engineering best practices. Working accident investigation experience during “return to flight” activities for the Space Shuttle Columbia. Technical skills include working experience on multiple engineering projects in the aviation/aerospace industry with a strong problem-solving/analysis/analytical aptitude. Team project and lead work experience includes incorporating human factors, engineering, operations and safety into the design and development of various aerospace engineering and technical projects and applications early on during design phases as well as during sustainment of critical hardware and systems. Current management and supervisory work experience as well as excellent team building, mentoring, interpersonal, verbal and oral communication skills. As a flight controller and engineering console operator I was required to display a high degree of analytical problem solving skills in a very fast paced, simulated and real time environment as defined by mission needs and objectives. I am able to effectively and efficiently work across many disciplines as well as within my own project to facilitate, support and lead a team environment that fosters immediate response to common goals and objectives in a safe manner. In my current role as a Senior Engineer, I am responsible for the solution, planning, execution and health and status monitoring, preventative maintenance and repair of complex systems for space flight hardware. Additionally, this role requires me to assist in the design, development, testing, implementation, risk assessment, analysis and certification of technical products and hardware ensuring that NASA and customer requirements are met and that quality controls are adhered to.
