ABOUT HEATHER DESANTO
Heather DeSanto is entering her 3rd season with the Las Vegas Raiders as Sr. Vice President, Human Resources. In her current role, Heather drives organizational effectiveness though various Human Resources initiatives and supports management on all major initiatives impacting employees, while developing relevant Human Resources programs and strategies.Heather’s professional focus, honed over 25 years of progressive Human Resources experience in hospitality, gaming, and professional sports is to support leaders across the various business functions of the organization (including Sales, Retail, Football Operations, Hotel Operations, Casino Operations, Food & Beverage, MICE, etc.), to drive alignment of Human Resources policies, processes, and programs. Previously, Heather served as the Senior Vice President, Human Resources for The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada where she developed strategic Human Resources programs and policies to support the Company’s values and human capital strategy through effective management of all areas of Human Resources, including recruitment and on-boarding, performance management, employee relations, learning and development, rewards and recognition, and compensation and benefits. Beginning her career at The Venetian Resort as Benefits Manager in 2003, Heather traveled to Marina Bay Sands in Singapore in 2010, serving as the Director of Human Resources on the integrated resort\'s pre-opening team. During her eight-year overseas tenure, Heather was twice nominated for the Marina Bay Sands’ CEO Award for distinguished leadership, in recognition of her professional contributions in supporting the business.Before returning to Las Vegas in 2018, Heather served as Vice President of Human Resources at Marina Bay Sands, where she provided consultation to executive leadership and co-led Human Resources functions that served over 9,500+ Team Members from over 60 countries. Prior to her appointment at The Venetian Resort, Heather held Human Resources positions at MGM Mirage (now MGM Resorts International) and New York-New York Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.Heather was born and raised in Santa Cruz, California. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Management) from San Jose State University and, in 2015, attended an executive leadership program at the INSEAD Asia Campus in Singapore. Heather enjoys traveling, wildlife photography, and various outdoor activities.
