There has got to be a better way. I have spent the last 10 years responding to this statement- first as a finance professional in various industries and now as a management consultant with Accenture’s CFO & Enterprise Value (CFO EV) practice. Specializing in Finance Operations and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), I help clients transform their finance function from a transactional service (“overhead”) to a strategic asset with a data-driven, intelligent operating model (“value-creator”). I can streamline accounting processes to unleash real-time insights that result in informed decision-making, dynamic real-time scenario planning, continuous close, and on-demand reporting. As a former Controller, I understand the frustration of month end close taking too long, transaction volume exceeding my team’s capacity, and budget planning that consists of way too many excel spreadsheets being emailed back and forth. There IS a better way, and I love bringing these solutions to clients. I have held almost every position there is in an accounting or finance office. Accounts payable? Yes. FP & A? Yep. Controller? You betcha. Internal Audit? That too. No matter what position I held, I was always looking for better and smarter ways of working. I became the go-to person for Excel macros, Power BI dashboards, executive reporting, and process improvement. In 2020, I earned my MBA with a focus in data analytics and joined Accenture. Since starting my management consulting career, I have delivered solutions that help finance professionals work smarter, free up time, and pivot their efforts from transactional tasks to analytical work. I am an advanced Excel user, a Power BI expert, and have proficiency with Jira and Alteryx. Outside of work, I spend time advocating for military spouse employment. Only 1 in 4 military spouses who want to be fully employed can be and even then, military spouses face an average 20% wage gap compared to their civilian peers. I currently serve on the leadership team for Accenture’s Military Spouse Employee Resource Group (MSERG) where I have the pleasure of connecting our military spouse community to programs and benefits made especially for them. Over time, I have every intention of making Accenture the best place to work for military spouses stationed at home or abroad. My other interests include personal finance, downhill skiing, yoga, hiking with my two large dogs, and home improvement projects.
