ABOUT HEATHER CORCORAN
I’m a People & Talent Development leader who loves helping individuals and teams grow. I bring together a PhD in Educational Psychology, a PMP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Change Management certification, and an MBA (in progress) with an HR focus to design learning experiences that actually change behavior—not just fill calendars. For years, I worked in complex, highly regulated environments (National Board of Medical Examiners, Educational Testing Service), where I designed and led learning programs, translated data into clear insights, and managed cross-functional projects from idea to impact. At NBME, I also led Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) that created connection, inclusion, and professional growth opportunities across the organization—work that solidified my passion for culture, belonging, and continuous development. My sweet spot is where learning science, data, and people intersect. I enjoy-Designing scalable development programs for individual contributors, managers, and leaders-Facilitating engaging workshops and sessions (virtual and in-person)-Using data, feedback, and surveys to evaluate what’s working and refine programs-Supporting change initiatives so people feel prepared, supported, and includedAt my core, I care about helping people do their best work while feeling seen, respected, and supported. I’m especially energized by roles in People Operations, Talent Development, Learning & Development, and culture/engagement—particularly in mission-driven, high-growth, or tech-forward organizations. If you’re working on building thoughtful people programs, manager/leader development, or ERG and culture initiatives, I’d love to connect.
