ABOUT HEATH WRIGHT

Heath began his emergency services career in Regina, Saskatchewan with Regina Emergency Medical Services (Regina EMS). After spending 9 years as a Paramedic in Regina, Heath moved to Lethbridge, Alberta to continue his EMS career with Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services(LFES). LFES provided Heath the ability to grow even further as an emergency provider by enabling him to work in one of the oldest integrated Fire/EMS services in North America. After working as a frontline Firefighter/Paramedic for four years, Heath moved into the Lethbridge Fire Prevention Bureau to broaden his knowledge in Fire Investigation, Building Construction, New Development Planning, as well as Fire Inspections. The Lethbridge Fire Prevention Bureau proved to be a positive move professionally, and eventually led Heath to attain his Business Degree in Emergency Services through Lakeland College in 2008. In 2009, Heath was appointed to lead all fire investigation files, as well as coordinate and supervise all fire inspections within the City of Lethbridge. In 2014, Heath was promoted to Chief Fire Marshal, and managed all activities and lead the Lethbridge Fire Prevention Bureau for 9.5 years. In November 2023, Heath joined the senior management team at Lethbridge County, and now oversees Fire and Emergency Services, Regional Emergency Management, and the Community Peace Officer (CPO) program throughout Lethbridge County.
