Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) poses a significant global health challenge as the leading cause of cancer-related mortality. Its therapeutic targeting is complicated by substantial heterogeneity and lineage plasticity that emerge during disease progression and response to treatment. Our research aims to unravel the mechanisms governing differentiation states and plasticity in LUAD.Specifically, we are investigating the impact of alternative cell fate switches in invasive mucinous adenocarcinoma (IMA), a subtype of LUAD. My research seeks to elucidate the pivotal role played by a key transcriptional factor within IMA and its relevance in the context of targeted therapeutic strategies.
