I lead fundraising at The Air Ambulance Service, overseeing a directorate of around 50 colleagues responsible for generating more than £20m each year to fund lifesaving emergency and critical care services.TAAS operates five helicopters across regional air ambulance services and the National Children’s Air Ambulance, delivering frontline emergency response and high-speed transfers of critically ill babies and children across the UK. The charity receives no government funding, meaning every mission is funded entirely by voluntary income.As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, my role spans strategic leadership, income diversification and performance across a broad portfolio including lottery, individual giving, community and events, corporate partnerships, trusts and major gifts, legacies and digital fundraising. I work closely with Trustees, clinical and operational colleagues to ensure fundraising strategy is aligned with organisational priorities, governance and risk.My focus is on building sustainable income, high-performing teams and modern fundraising infrastructure, so that supporters’ generosity translates directly into lives saved.

Before that I created and launched the first major fundraising appeal for St Andrew\'s Healthcare, a 185-year-old charity that hadn’t formally fundraised in a century.
