I have been around beauty all my life and not knowing that interior design was a professional and would become my career path. Moving to the newly renewed area in Detroit\'s first Urban Renewal, I was quickly attracted to the Mies van der Rohe Townhouses, known as the Glass Houses because the windows were floor to ceiling and the view looked out into Plaisance Park, which is filled with honey locus trees. Another area I truly loved was \"Black Bottom,\" where old streets were paved with bricks similar to the Streets of Old Detroit, exhibited at The Detroit Historical Museum.
