Policy advocate, strategist, and investigative journalist with 8+ years of experience serving nonprofit humanitarian and human rights organizations.With a human-centered approach to advocacy, communications, and research, my mission is to amplify important stories that propel policy change, inspire collective action, and positively shape our world. The issues that drive me are advancing global health equity, protecting reproductive rights, eliminating gender-based violence, safeguarding the environment, and securing press freedom.I recently completed a contract as the Global Health Campaign Officer on the Global Health Advocacy and Policy (GHAP) team at Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF-USA), where I developed strategic, policy-driven advocacy campaigns in the US context. Our primary campaign, Time for $5, secured a 20% price reduction of a molecular diagnostic device, facilitating access to 3.6 million more tests for infectious disease diagnosis annually in low- and middle-income countries.As an investigative reporter, I exposed wrongdoings committed by federal and state agencies, top pharmaceutical corporations, public and private prison systems, foreign armed forces, and other powerful actors. My reporting has spanned many beats, including international affairs, gender, health, climate and environment, crime and justice, politics, and education.
