ABOUT HASSAN CHAUDHURY HONFAPM
I’m an advisor solving commercial, growth, and expansion problems in digital health and medtech by making deep connections across international markets.[I apologise but I can’t read all the messages I receive on LinkedIn].I organise and host many events, and hold an unusually broad portfolio of roles. I honestly don’t fit neatly into a single box in health, care, and life sciences e.g. digital, real world data, innovation, commercialisation, international expansion, board advisory, leadership, strategy, partnerships, proposition development, exec education, public speaking, ecosystem and community building, events etc. That’s perhaps why I’m typically engaged when the way forward is unclear, when other ‘experts’ have failed, or the new plan is ambitious.Broadly, I support i) the public sector to commercialise appropriately, ii) startups to scale, particularly into new markets, and corporations for TAM expansion, or to pivot.I am Digital Propositions Lead for Medica Group, Head of UK & I for Welcome Health Ventures, and Commercial Director at DATA-CAN: the HDRUK Hub for Cancer, hosted at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. I am a Board Advisor for Blüm Health, an Expert-in-Residence at the London Institute for Healthcare Engineering (LIHE) at King\'s College London (the national asset for MedTech and SaMD), an advisor to The Shuri Network, an ambassador for HLTH Europe, and Chair of The Data Observatory CIC National Council. My background is in health and social care, and I was a co-founder of a real world data agency which exported to multiple foreign jurisdictions before a successful, bootstrapped exit (Health iQ sold to CorEvitas, LLC in 2019). From 2018 to 2022, I was the subject matter expert on global digital health for the UK Department for International Trade (DIT, now the DBT), advising teams in UK Embassies across 96 countries. I delivered the #First100 Playbook in 2021 and #Beyond100 Playbook in 2022 (https://digitalplaybook.co.uk - which has recorded over £1bn in trade deals).
