There are lots of reasons why supporting a charity is a good idea. Doing good is just as important as doing well, and staff, customers and clients admire companies with charitable values. Would you like to support a charity where your actions will have a huge impact on the lives of disadvantaged children? Ride High is a remarkably unique charity offering long-term and proven alternative support to standard one-to-one counselling that many children don’t respond to. At Ride High we use horses to engage with the most disconnected children. We work with them for six months to a year (sometimes longer) to give them confidence and hope for a happy future. Over the weeks and months that children are with us I see them transform from anxious, introverted children struggling to cope with everyday life, to confident, happy young people. If you’d like to help Ride High continue to make magic happen for troubled children then please contact me. There are so many ways in which you and your company can get involved and make a special difference. We are a small charity but we have a huge impact on young lives, and you can too. Every relationship we hold with a company is unique, but here are just few examples of ways in which we could explore working together: • Volunteering projects/ CSR days – teams come to Ride High to volunteer. This is a fantastic way to motivate and engage your staff. • Charity of the Year – organisations nominate us as their official charity partner and we work closely with them throughout the year to align our activities. • Fundraising – colleagues organise events in the work place to raise money for Ride High. We’re often invited to bring our members along to partake in some way. • Sponsor a child – company sponsor a child to attend Ride High for the year. They receive half-termly reports on the child’s progress and it is sometimes possible to meet that child. • Work experience – companies provide some of our older members with a 1 to 2 week work experience placement over the school holidays. An extremely valuable experience for our children. This year Ride High turned 15 years old! During this time we have transformed the lives of over vulnerable and disadvantaged children. This would not have been possible without the amazing support and generosity of our partner companies.
