Taking a long and perhaps permanent break from the corporate IT industry. I’ve always wanted to teach computer science at high school and I was so very lucky to be offered a position at the BEST high school in Nevada - Advanced Technologies Academy. This is the hardest I\'ve worked in years and it is very rewarding to see the light turn on behind young eyes. I\'m enjoying this journey and am hopeful where it is leading me. For about 12 years from 20••••20, I was serving at Match.com. My areas of responsibility included billing, payments, financial reporting, refunds, and chargeback processing/disputing. I was also responsible for other back end processes and applications such as our customer care tools, photo management, and internal tools. This was a challenging role for anyone and I found myself confronted with large scale problems on a weekly basis. I was expected to come up with innovative, out of the box solutions to complex problems, hire talented, motivated people to work for me, maintain and troubleshoot large code bases, and contribute to planning and direction of the work streams for three separate teams.

   I\'m teaching high school in Las Vegas as a licensed, full time teacher. I\'m starting out teaching the AP Computer Science Principles course but want to do other courses as opportunities arise. This has been a lifelong dream of mine - I started out college with an education degree but changed it to computer science after a semester.
