I’m an investor and product executive with experience scaling technologies into billions of devices and downloads. As a deal lead with NuFund and the San Diego Angel Conference, I focus on companies with strong IP, defensible product moats, and balanced founding teams. My background spans Emmy-winning innovations, global streaming and digital media products, medical devices, and supporting founders at the intersection of product and investment.I bring together product leadership, investment experience, and strategic growth expertise. At DivX, I created products bridging consumer and Hollywood content, including 4K streaming movie stores, in-flight entertainment systems, mobile apps, and consumer software. Our technology shipped in well over a billion devices and our software was downloaded more than a billion times. I also evaluated companies and IP portfolios and led the acquisition of a startup to accelerate product development. At SRI Sarnoff Labs, I developed Emmy-winning innovations licensed by nearly every TV manufacturer and IC producer. I’ve also driven product development in digital health and medical devices, developing new rehabilitation and motion-analysis technologies.I’ve served as President of the Consumer Electronics Society and chaired the International Conference on Consumer Electronics at CES, connecting leaders across technology, business, and research.My focus includes angel investing and due diligence (NuFund, SDAC), product strategy and scaling, licensing and acquisitions, AI, biotech, digital health, and medical devices—with a consistent emphasis on supporting founders with balanced teams and defensible IP.Always open to deal flow, investment opportunities, and consulting engagements at the intersection of product and investment.
