ABOUT HAZEL PLATT
I am the Head of Tax at Grant Thornton UK and a member of the firm’s Strategic Leadership Team. With more than 30 years’ experience, I bring deep commercial and organisational insight contributing to the firm’s strategic direction and long term priorities.In my role on the Strategic Leadership Team, I am closely involved in driving the firm’s growth and transformation agenda, with a particular focus on strengthening Grant Thornton’s position as a leader in digital and technology enabled professional services. Alongside that role, I lead Grant Thornton’s growing national Tax business, a team of around 850 people. My leadership emphasises building an environment where colleagues feel empowered to innovate, collaborate and thrive.As the daughter of a mum who always worked, and with a daughter of my own, being a strong role model for female talent is incredibly important to me. As the firm’s sponsor for gender, I am committed to creating pathways for women into senior leadership and supporting a culture where fulfilling careers and family life can coexist for all.Outside work, I enjoy cycling, Pilates and golf and love spending time outdoors with family and friends over good food and wine.
