ABOUT HAYU MOHAMMED

I am currently a senior at Hamline University majoring in Finance. I have experience working in risk management (underwriting) and corporate FP & A. Im excited to continue learning and growing in the finance industry Last summer, I had the opportunity of being a FP & A analyst at Pentair where I’ve been diving into OPEX and forecasting revenues. I had the chance to listen and learn about different accounts and forecasts schedules and how that affects maximizing revenue and expense tracking. I had the opportunity to build the organizations (KBI) OPEX tables. This hands on experience has allowed me to be challenged, and also fueled my eagerness to pursue a career in finance Beyond academics and work, I am actively involved on campus. I have taken leadership positions in the Hamline African Student Association, East African Student Union and Hamline Accounting Club which have strengthened my interpersonal skills but also my ability to collaborate and make positive change.
