Screen grassroots advocate applications, interview applicants, conduct on-boarding, training/orientation, and activation-Train, engage and support advocates to influence Congress around World Vision priorities-Develop long-term relationships with advocates with the goal of deepening their desire for partnership-Collaborate with World Vision donor representatives to invite qualified donors into advocacy and educate them on the merits of advocacy-Research and strategize on messaging for Members of Congress related to foreign assistance and World Vision priorities-Represent World Vision at local/regional speaking events-Planned in-depth advocacy training at Advocacy Camp 2022, hosting 50 advocates -Planned inaugural Advocacy Summit 2023 in DC, hosted 200 attendees and held 120 congressional meetings on Capitol Hill-Traveled to Malawi in 2024 on first World Vision Advocacy Vision Trip to see US-government funded programs-Led critical advocacy to protect numerous foreign assistance programs from cuts during closure of USAID in 2025 & educated on their benefits to U.S. interests-Hosted Advocacy Summit 2025 in DC with 150 attendees and 157 congressional meetings on Capitol Hill
