I take a hands on approach to client’s needs and the health and success of my team. By taking the time to truly understand a client’s business, goals, and vision, I provide practical legal insight to ensure the patent strategy is in sync with business objectives. Whether a small technology incubator or a Fortune 100 company, I can help plan an international strategy that protects products, provides cross-licensing opportunities, and builds patent strongholds that force competitors to re-evaluate their own activity. I build teams to support each client’s needs based on the current demand and technology areas. I focus on U.S. and foreign patent prosecution, licensing, validity and infringement studies, and opinions. I particularly enjoys helping clients develop portfolio wide strategies that incorporate advancing technology to achieve efficiencies and improve quality. I have worked with clients to create prior art searching strategies to improve patent drafting in light of known prior art and to reduce patent prosecution costs. I have helped clients create notice of allowance review programs to identify options for continuation and divisional application strategies. Many of these programs have incorporated internal, third party or legal service organizations that utilize AI or other emerging technologies to cost effectively add to portfolio quality and management. My teams are well versed in varied strategies across different client portfolios and are exceptionally proficient in Anaqua and client database management. I value the contribution my team makes to the internal efficiencies of my clients by effectively integrating SeedIP in to the Anaqua or database flow established by clients. I regularly work with clients to improve the exchange and flow of information to and from Anaqua to streamline the exchange between SeedIP and the in-house teams.
