ABOUT HAYLEY MILLWARD
I’m a freelance DSA Study Needs Assessor at Access Assessment Centres, specialising in SpLD, Autism, and Mental Health assessment. I’m passionate about inclusivity in higher education and the impact of assistive technology and one-to-one support in supporting students to succeed.Previously, I worked in assessment centre management and student support roles at Staffordshire University, including as a Disability Advisor and Student Wellbeing Advisor. I supported students throughout their academic journey, helping them overcome barriers, build resilience, and achieve their full potential. Right up until the point of gowning them up at graduation! My experience includes solution-focused interventions, crisis support, assistive technology, reasonable adjustments, and delivering staff training to promote inclusive teaching practices and to raise awareness of disability and wellbeing services. I also managed a team of support workers ensuring students received quality support, and actively managed and developed the support worker service.
