ABOUT HAYLEY HUGHES

I started my working life as a trainee accountant at the age of 17, where I achieved my AAT level 2,3,4. This was a great foundation to really understanding a business, its challenges and what is required from a business owner to make it all come together. Having done 8 years of bookkeeping, auditing, and stock taking for thousands of businesses in Cheshire, I gained knowledge in how to run a profitable business, as well as understanding warning signs and how to deal with unplanned challenges. It also allowed me to analyse the business finances to quickly understand if it was profitable and where there could be changes made. I wanted a new challenge and then worked in the accounts department for an International Wine Company, where it opened my eyes up to International banking and managing risks. Also looking into pricing products for profit, managing the credit control and managing the cash flow. In 2004 I ventured into banking; local business banking to be precise. I\'m sure you may realise by now, I have this true passion for small businesses! I stayed in banking for 15 years where I extended my expertise in the day to day banking, business regulations and lending facilities for a business. I took my exams in Certified Banking and achieved a distinction. All of my roles were in business and they ranged from, management to business development and cold calling. I was chosen to become an expert in start up and high growth companies, including a real understanding of R&D tax. I was rewarded for all of the operational changes I had implemented, the volume of clients I retained, as well as the sales training which I rolled out. I became a multi award winner and a constant top 5% performer of the bank. It was within these roles and being a business relationship manager that I truly started to understand \'people\', what made them tick and what worried them. Having this magical instinct allowed me to bring out the best in my clients and therefore the best in their business - and what a feeling! And then life changed, and with it Haliztic Pro was created to bring all of my 27 years of expertise and learns together and to share with small business owners. I am so excited about the future and being able to help so many people get the business they deserve!
