Hi, I’m Hayla! ‍ I\'m a product designer focused on growth and conversion, the moments where users decide to commit. Like design itself, my journey wasn\'t linear. I transitioned from customer support, where I developed a deep understanding of user needs and problem-solving. Now, I bring that same empathy into design, focusing on registration, onboarding, subscription conversion, and building systems that help teams move faster.🩺 At Curai Health, I lead design for the Patient Growth team. I recently repositioned our subscription paywall from a registration barrier to a post-value decision point, allowing users to experience our product before committing (launched Oct 2025, monitoring impact). I\'ve also increased new user registrations by 16x through strategic conversational AI optimization, improved health information exchange opt-in rates by 31% through competitive auditing, and built scalable design systems that reduced design and prototyping time by 50%. I firmly believe healthcare should be accessible to all, and I\'m passionate about designing experiences that remove friction from something that matters. Design systems are particularly fascinating to me. The way you can alter the entire appearance of a product by changing a corner radius, stroke, or drop shadow is incredible. During my internship, I approached my team and Head of Design to request a lead role in updating and maintaining our Figma design system. In just six months, I rebuilt 80% of our components using variants and variables. Now, as a full-time designer on the team, I’m focusing on building our master screens for company-wide continuity.🤝 Along the way, I realized how tough it can be to break into the industry without connections, feedback, or a support system. That’s why I started Yappy Design - a community for designers of all levels to connect, learn, and grow together.
