ABOUT HAYDEN MANUELL

As a Senior Transport Planner with 8 years of experience, I specialise in data processing, analysis, modelling, forecasting, and economic and financial appraisal. My expertise lies in interpreting and judging results to produce valuable insights that apply real life situations.My recent projects have focused on bus network analysis, bus demand modelling, timetabling, and bus economic and financial modelling. In undertaking project tasks I use a range of tools I have proficiency in, including Excel, Python, FME, Podaris, Optibus and GIS. I use them to produce valuable, easily digestible and visually pleasing insights and results to present in client and public facing reports. I am recognised by clients as being a UK expert in the relatively unexplored area of bus modelling. I have developed a strong understanding of transport modelling policy and guidance, including TAG and WelTAG, through extensive project experience. I am familiar with many relevant data sources and papers that are useful to use and cite within calculations and reports.I am experienced in engaging with clients, stakeholders and the public, having presented material at public consultation events and stakeholder meetings.I have substantial experience working on strategic transport and highways modelling projects, however I am looking to move away from more traditional strategic modelling roles. I also have experience in other areas of modelling, such as VISSIM, junction and pedestrian modelling.
