ABOUT HASSEB KHAN
I am a Master’s graduate in Biomedical Sciences with a specialization in Toxicology from the University of Guelph, now working full-time at SGS Nutrasource in Regulatory Sciences. I began as an intern with the US Nutra team, where I gained hands-on experience supporting Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) and New Dietary Ingredient Notification (NDIN) submissions, conducting regulatory and scientific literature searches, compiling safety data, and contributing to claim substantiation projects. Following my internship, I transitioned into a full-time role, continuing to contribute to regulatory dossiers and client deliverables for food and dietary supplement products. My background includes a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Waterloo, which provided me with an interdisciplinary foundation in biological sciences and toxicological principles. Combined with my regulatory experience, this allows me to evaluate safety data, interpret toxicology studies, and effectively communicate scientific findings in a regulatory context.I am passionate about advancing in regulatory science and toxicology, while staying adaptable as the field evolves.
