ABOUT HASSAN ABO ATIAA

Hassan Abo Atiaa is a forensic associate at Doane Grant Thronton LLP, specializing in forensic investigations, litigation support, and anti-money laundering (AML). Hassan is in the final stages of obtaining his CPA designation, having successfully written the May 2025 CFE exam. Before his current role, Hassan worked at MEN ZONE Franchising Corp. as a business analyst specializing in strategy and transformation where he supported their operational expansion across the GTA. Hassan also worked as a staff accountant in the audit public practice at Deloitte, supporting the real estate, asset management, consumer business, and financial services sectors. Hassan began his career at Expertax Financial Services Inc. as a staff accountant in the tax practice, securing a full-time offer following a successful internship in 2021. Hassan received both his undergraduate degree (BBA) and master of accounting degree (MAcc) from the Schulich School of Business, where he explored various areas of accounting, sparking his passion for tax, assurance, and performance management. During his undergrad, he was involved in a wide variety of extracurricular activities including various academic societies and business case competitions.Hassan remains deeply committed to his community, regularly volunteering at local charities and mentoring high school students navigating their post-secondary education paths. In his spare time, Hassan thoroughly enjoys playing soccer, weightlifting, listening to music/podcasts, and spending time outdoors.
