At McKenney’s, I manage HVAC automation projects from design through installation, taking ownership of scheduling, procurement, and on-site coordination. My role bridges engineering and project management through reviewing mechanical, plumbing, & electrical drawings, issuing RFIs, and ensuring systems perform as designed. I lead coordination between contractors, vendors, and clients to keep projects on schedule and within budget. Beyond the technical work, McKenney’s has taught me the importance of relationships and communication in building successful teams. It’s a company that doesn’t just build systems it builds people, and I’ve grown through every project I’ve led.• Coordinate HVAC controls projects from design through installation, ensuring scope alignment, accurate documentation, and on-time delivery.• Manage a portfolio exceeding $6M in project revenue across more than 100 active jobs, tracking budgets, schedules, and subcontractor progress.• Interpret detailed mechanical, plumbing, and electrical design drawings to verify equipment selections, control sequences, and field installation requirements and more.• Support field operations by scheduling manpower, verifying completion of contracted scope, and addressing change orders or RFIs (Requests for Information).• Develop and issue RFIs (Requests for Information) and field change documentation to clarify design intent and coordinate adjustments with general contractors.• Oversee procurement of HVAC controls parts and materials, maintaining vendor relationships and ensuring cost efficiency and timely delivery.• Facilitate cross-disciplinary coordination among mechanical, electrical, and IT trades, ensuring clear communication of scope between contractors and engineers.• Utilize project management software and construction documentation tools to track budgets, updates, and field coordination across multiple project teams.
