ABOUT HASNAIN SHAIKH

As a consultant at Ernst & Young (EY), within the Performance Improvement (PI) team, I learned how to assess, strategize, and deliver a solution. My time in consulting instilled in me a relentless work ethic and gave me extensive training in client management.Having gained a competency in these skills, I wanted to leverage them in a different way. I decided to switch careers and focus on something that I have always been deeply passionate about – The arts. I have been a theatre student and performer for as long as I can remember, so after my tenure as a consultant, I contributed to the theatre industry by founding my own theatre troupe, Natak Nation. For 3 years, I pushed the troupe forward both professionally and creatively. We organized, marketed, and executed approximately 40 shows, saw steady growth of return viewership, and built out the business model to include 3 independent revenue streams.I have been lucky to find the spaces in the business world within which creativity, individualism, leadership, and personal drive, is not only rewarded, but required.My core competencies are- Analytical thinking- Creative problem solving- Project leadership- Ability to thrive in fast paced, dynamic industries- Cross-functional expertise- Strong communication skills- Stakeholder management- Ability to excel under stressful conditionsMoving forward, I want to continue down this path and contribute to the growth of industries that are integral to the fabric of community and identity, but often require business expertise.
