ABOUT HAS MALIK
Has Malik is an author and educator. He is the composer of the novel-screenplay, Struck by Magic (available on Amazon), as well as of the thought-leadership series of articles: The Democratic Principle in Education, Higher Education Practices in a Democracy, and Micro-credentials as a Democratic Tool. Dr. Malik has spoken at many national and international conferences and events, including at Hannover Messe in Germany, the Canada-ASEAN Business Council Symposium in Singapore, the Canadian Nuclear Association (CNA) Workforce Planning Symposium in Saskatoon, and COP28 in Dubai. He is a member of the Board of Directors at Creative Saskatchewan. As a result of his commitment and work in higher education, the creative sector, and the community, Dr. Malik received the Education 2.0 Outstanding Leadership Award (2022) and was honoured with the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal (2022). Dr. Malik leads the Academic division at Saskatchewan Polytechnic as the Provost & Vice-President Academic. In this capacity, he provides strategic vision and direction for all academic programs, as well as Applied Research and Innovation, Student Services, Learning and Teaching, International Education, Indigenous Student Success, and Advancement divisions.
