About Hasley McDaniel

Hello! My name is Hasley McDaniel. I am a recent graduate of Arizona State University\'s W.P. Carey School of Business with degrees in Business Data Analytics and Marketing.From working with kids and tutoring college students to creating program documentation and marketing copy, my experiences so far have culminated to one essential skill: making things simple.Ironically, making things simple has not been as simple as it sounds. Teaching economics to undergraduate students as an SI Leader required a deep knowledge of microeconomics concepts in order to create lesson plans, create practice problems, and tailor my techniques to each individual student.Creating technical documentation for PetSmart\'s Analytics & Insights Team required extensive communication with the team to understand the goals and reasoning behind projects, in order to explain them simply to nontechnical employees across the business.Writing marketing copy for Factor 8 and PCDrilling has required a holistic understanding of our brand, products, customers, and overall value as a business, in order to craft brief yet engaging social media content for various audiences.Throughout my career so far, I\'ve found it takes skill, knowledge, a village, and countless hours behind the scenes to take something so complicated and produce something that gets your message across in a digestible and engaging way. Behind every infographic, newsletter, documentation, and caption is hours of meetings, article reading, webinar watching (and some staring into space) to pick out out important information and turn it into something simple.When I am not simplifying things, I enjoy anything creative I can get my hands on, like painting, needlework, calligraphy, music, and more. I aim to marry these two sides of my personality—the creative and analytical—to bring a unique, multifaceted perspective to my career in Marketing.
