Working with Museum Association to ensure, jointly with the other trustees, that the MA acts in accordance with its constitution and to manage its activities in furtherance of the objects set down in that constitution. I will be involved in setting the strategic direction of the MA and monitoring its performance, contributing to the formulation of policy and overseeing its implementation, annual financial budgets, resource allocation and ensuring that the MA complies with its Articles of Association and all applicable legislation and regulations.As a board member, I also sit on and chair the Anti Racism and Decolonisation Steering Group made up of sector experts with its purpose to :* offer strategic oversight and scrutiny of the MA’s campaigns and programmes in areas of anti racism and decolonisation.* to challenge the MA and develop ideas to make positive change in the UK museum sector.* to represent this influential, expert group to stimulate debate and raise the profile of anti- racist and decolonising work across the UK.
