ABOUT HARVEY HAMILTON-THORPE
Together we can achieve more. Working with others, I solve complex problems in a way that brings sustainable change for society and our environment. I am a people person. The people I work with notice the difference I make. I strive for positive impact through my work and to communicate that far and wide. Communicating difficult ideas clearly is essential for getting things done, and this is one of my strengths. I thrive when I am challenged and bring a strong personal energy to my work. I deliver projects on time and on budget and have secured millions of pounds of funding from many sources. I have held several roles as Non-Executive Director / Trustee at charities and not-for-profit companies, joining each board with a purpose, and I use my skills to bring about effective change. I volunteer with the Scouts to help young people develop skills for life and go on adventures. I aim for positive relationships and to make decisions that have wider benefits, not just to benefit me. For me, profit is not the only measure of success. My key skills include leading and managing people, project management, partnerships and collaborative working, organisational development and change management, health and safety, event management, fundraising (including grant applications), communication (including PR, marketing, speech writing and presentations), coaching and mentoring, charity governance, facilities, and environmental management.
