ABOUT HARVEY JOHNSON
My goal is to obtain work in the entertainment industry utilizing my talents as an actor primarily in Film, Television and Commercials and as a writer further production of my written work (poetry/plays). I am also available as a director for stage. I\'ve worked as an actor for for over 20 years, performing on stages from Florida to Virginia to Vermont as well as Off-Broadway in a variety of roles ranging from the comedic to the dramatic, Shakespeare to musical theater. The bulk of my directing experience comes from work as a teaching artist with Inside Broadway, working with youth as young as kindergarten to high school and includes choreography for musicals. I\'ve also directed projects while at Virginia Tech and some freelance work, and I\'ve aided actors with coaching. As a playwright I\'ve written over 15 plays and most recently had the pleasure of seeing my work produced at two theater festivals and enjoying a limited run in New York. I am a published poet and am currently preparing for the release of my first book of poetry.
